Two of my favourite little people came by today with their Mom, Dad, and brand new puppy for their annual photo session. We started outside and moved inside after BOTH my camera batteries died, only to find that my studio lights were misbehaving! Luckily it was Dad to the rescue and things were back on track! I am a huge fan of these children and their BIG brown eyes!
Ever hear the phrase " The shoe maker’s children have no shoes?" I was starting to think the newborn photographer’s niece would not have any newborn photos! We tried twice before today and got some wonderful awake shots, but little A never did go to sleep for me, a first I think. Lucky for me, today was my lucky day, she finally settled into a good sleep and let her crazy Aunt try some new stuff! And I got some of my favourite black and whites ever as a result!
Scroll down to see today’s other beautiful family! The second family of the day is the family of one of the contestants in the Spring Blog Contest I ran. M just turned one, and brought along her (almost) 7 yr old sister E and big brother L, who is excited to start kindergarten in the fall. Talk about your model subjects. These children were fantastic subjects! I am having a VERY hard time narrowing down my choices for the blog! Check out M laughing her head off when I turned my fan on her in her angel shot! *For people interested in family sessions, this family is a GREAT example of how to dress!* Thanks Brenda and Scott!
Busy day today, so I’ll be posting twice, once per family that came! I started off my day with these beautiful people, 2 yr old M and 3 month old D, along with Mom and Dad. M LOVES to dance to Apple Bottom Jeans and her dance moves produced the CUTEST storyboard ever! D cane to see me in June for his newborn session and I can’t get over how much he’s grown already! Is this a stylish family or what?
..And finds the PERFECT Queen Anne chair she has been scouring the Winnipeg Antique Scene for months to find. It’s even purple, like she imagined. Photographer then convinces cute little blonde daughter to wrap up in some gold material, put on some bug spray, and head outside just before sunset, to a field a few blocks from home. And the result is:
I travelled to a town south of Winnipeg today for this newborn/big brother session. Little D is 5 weeks old and S is turning 4 very soon. What a big help S was, he carried my equipment for me, showed me his room, took pictures with his camera while I used mine! I think these images may be some of my all time favourites! Thanks for having me in your home today Bregje! Your boys are gorgeous! Hope your popsicles were yummy, S!
After a month with no newborns, they are all coming in one week for August! Today’s handsome boy was a dream subject. At one month of age, he came in so sleepy, we couldn’t keep him awake! He was so good to let me pose him and scrunch him! I just love the clean look and texture of this new white blanket:
