Have you ever seen such a delicious little baby girl? Baby Mia is the perfect addition to this family! She officially gets the title of "Newborn With The Most Proofs" in her gallery. I usually show about 35-40 newborn proofs, but Mia tops the record with 60! What a co-operative, adorable subject! And she didn’t get Mom and Dad wet or dirty in spite of all the naked shots! LOL. She’s a beauty you guys!
Hard to believe summer is on it’s way out already! My September availablility has been released on karenhunterphotography.com and the dates are booking quickly! Now I am just hoping that the weather will co-operate as I won’t have space for re-scheduled appointments. Anyone wanting to get in for outdoor family portraits shoould keep in mind that evenings are best, usually around 6-6:30 pm, provided it is a clear day. If is is overcast, but not darkly so, any time of day is okay.
People often ask me what to wear for these types of session. I cannot stress enough how important wardrobe choice is in making a beautiful family portrait. Avoid plaids, stripes/patterns and logos, as usual and try to aim for some harmony. While it is not always necessary to completely match everyone’s outfits, there should be a common colour throughout. In the fall, brown is a nice colour to build around, and it is available abundantly in the stores this season. August has been a VERY busy month and I have met so many adorable little people and their parents! Unfortunately, I was sooo busy trying to stay on top of things, I haven’t had time to update my blog! I will get back to it more regularly starting NOW, even backtracking a bit in the next few days to share some of the cuties I photographed!
For today though, I am excited to share one of two new backdrops I have for fall. Ironically it is called Zachary, and my first little subject to try it out is my son, who is also called Zachary:
